The 8123 shortcode is primarily used by residents of Punjab to check their eligibility for the Rashan Riayat and Nigehban programs.
- The Process: Send your 13-digit CNIC number (without dashes) to 8123.
- The Result: You will receive a message confirming your eligibility. If you are already registered in the PSER database, it will show your current subsidy status.
- Note: If 8123 is busy, the Punjab government also uses 8070 for the 2026 Ramzan Nigehban Package.
2. Online Registration for 2026

- Monthly Income: Must be less than Rs. 60,000.

The government does not charge any fee for registration. If you receive a call from a personal mobile number asking for your JazzCash/Easypaisa PIN or an “advance fee” to release your Rashan, it is a scam. Official messages only come from 8123, 8070, or 8171.
