The Benazir Nashonuma Program is a key initiative under the BISP (Benazir Income Support Programme) aimed at preventing stunting and malnutrition in children under two years of age and supporting pregnant and lactating women (PLW).
As of March 2026, the program has been expanded to 157 districts with over 562 Facilitation Centers nationwide. Below is the updated step-by-step guide to registration and eligibility.
Eligibility Criteria (Who Can Apply?)
To qualify for the Nashonuma Program in 2026, you must meet the following conditions:
- Existing BISP Beneficiary: The mother must already be an active recipient of the Benazir Kafalat (quarterly cash) program.
- Target Group: The program is exclusively for:
- Pregnant women.
- Lactating mothers (breastfeeding).
- Children under the age of 2 years (24 months).
- NSER Record: Your household must have an updated record in the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER).
Registration Process (Step-by-Step)
There is no online registration for this program because it requires a physical health assessment. You must visit a Nashonuma Facilitation Center, usually located within Tehsil Headquarter (THQ) or District Headquarter (DHQ) hospitals.
- Locate Center: Find the nearest Nashonuma Facilitation Center in your district’s government hospital.
- Documents Required: Bring your Original CNIC and the child’s NADRA B-Form.
- Initial Screening: Staff will check your BISP Kafalat status and verify your CNIC.
- Health Check: Height and weight measurements of the mother and child will be taken to assess nutritional needs.
- Biometric Enrollment: You will provide your thumbprint for biometric registration into the Nashonuma database.
- Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation message from 8171 once the enrollment is complete.
Nashonuma Stipend Rates (March 2026 Update)
In February 2026, the government announced a Rs. 500 increase in Nashonuma stipends. The new quarterly rates are:

Program Co-Responsibilities
To continue receiving these payments, beneficiaries must fulfill certain health requirements:
- Health Checkups: Attend regular antenatal/postnatal checkups at the center.
- Awareness Sessions: Participate in health and hygiene awareness sessions.
- Immunization: Ensure the child’s vaccination record is up to date.
- Nutritional Supplements: Use the Specialized Nutritious Food (SNF) sachets provided at the center.

- Web Portal: Visit 8171.bisp.gov.pk and enter your CNIC.
- SMS Service: Send your CNIC number to 8171 to receive a status update.
