The Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Phase 1 Payments for 2026 have officially commenced as of late February. This phase focuses on districts where school attendance verification (minimum 70% required) and NSER data synchronization were successfully completed for the January–March quarter.
Here is the most up-to-date breakdown of the student stipends, eligibility criteria, and the districts currently receiving disbursements.
1. Student Stipend Details (2026 Update)
The stipend amounts are categorized by the student’s level of education. In line with the government’s policy to promote female literacy, girls receive a higher stipend at every level.
| Education Level | Stipend for Boys (Quarterly) | Stipend for Girls (Quarterly) |
| Primary (Class 1–5) | Rs. 1,500 | Rs. 2,000 |
| Secondary (Class 6–10) | Rs. 2,500 | Rs. 3,000 |
| Higher Secondary (Class 11–12) | Rs. 3,500 | Rs. 4,000 |
Graduation Bonus: A one-time “Graduation Bonus” of Rs. 3,000 is also awarded to girls who successfully complete their primary education (Class 5).
2. Included Districts for Phase 1 (March 2026)
Phase 1 covers major urban hubs and districts with fully digitized attendance records. These include, but are not limited to:
- Punjab: Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, and Gujranwala.
- Sindh: Karachi (all divisions), Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Larkana.
- KPK: Peshawar, Mardan, and Abbottabad.
- Balochistan: Quetta and Gwadar.
- AJK & Gilgit Baltistan: Muzaffarabad and Gilgit.
If your district is not listed, your payment will likely be processed in Phase 2, expected to begin in late March or early April 2026.
3. Eligibility Requirements
To receive the Taleemi Wazaif payment in 2026, students must meet the following “Conditional Cash Transfer” (CCT) rules:
- Mother’s Status: The student’s mother must be an active beneficiary of the Benazir Kafalat Program.
- Attendance: The student must maintain at least 70% attendance in school/college for the current quarter.
- Registration: The child must be registered with a valid NADRA B-Form and a school admission slip verified by the BISP office.
4. How to Check Your Payment Status
Beneficiaries can verify their Taleemi Wazaif balance through the same channels used for Kafalat:
- Online Portal: Visit 8171.bisp.gov.pk and enter the mother’s CNIC.
- SMS: Send the CNIC number to 8171 to receive an automated update on student stipends.
- Sahulat Account: Check your digital wallet or bank account balance at any biometric-enabled ATM (HBL/Bank Alfalah).

⚠️ Important Note on Fraud
There is no separate registration fee for Benazir Taleemi Wazaif. Payments are disbursed directly to the mother’s account. If any school official or agent asks for a portion of the stipend, report it immediately to the BISP toll-free number 0800-26477.
