How to Check Your Name via SMS (9999 Code)
The fastest way to check your eligibility without an internet connection is the dedicated shortcode 9999.
- Open Message App: Create a new SMS.
- Enter CNIC: Type your 13-digit CNIC number (without any spaces or dashes).
- Send to 9999: Send the message using a SIM card registered in your own name.
- Wait for Response: You will receive one of these messages:
- “Eligible”: You are selected for the Rs. 13,000 grant.
- “Under Review/Verification”: Your data is being cross-checked with NSER/BISP records.
- “Not Eligible”: Your household income or assets exceed the poverty threshold.
How to Check Status Online (PMRRP Portal)
For a detailed status update and to see your payment schedule, use the official PM Ramzan Relief Portal (PMRRP):
- Visit the Portal: Go to pmrrp.nitb.gov.pk.
- Verification: Enter your CNIC number and the Captcha code (security numbers) shown on the screen.
- Check Results: The system will immediately display your approval status and whether your funds have been disbursed to your linked account.

How to Receive the Rs. 13,000 Payment
In 2026, the government is utilizing a “Cashless First” approach to maintain the dignity of citizens:
- Digital Wallets: Most payments are being sent directly to JazzCash, Easypaisa, or the BISP Social Protection Wallet.
- Bank Accounts: If you have a linked bank account (e.g., HBL or Bank Alfalah), funds will be credited there.
- Biometric Collection: For those without digital accounts, you can visit designated BISP campsites or partner bank ATMs to withdraw cash using your thumbprint verification.
Important Warning: Do not trust messages from private 11-digit mobile numbers. Official communication will only come from 9999 or 8171. No government official will ever ask for your PIN or OTP via phone call.
