1. How to Register for Ehsaas Rashan (Step-by-Step)
For 2026, the registration is strictly linked to your mobile SIM being registered on your own CNIC.
Method A: SMS Registration (Fastest)
- Open your mobile SMS app.
- Type your 13-digit CNIC (without dashes).
- Send it to 8123.
- You will receive a confirmation message within 24 hours regarding your eligibility and the nearest registered Karyana store.
Method B: Online Portal
- Visit the official 8123 Web Portal.
- Enter your CNIC and Mobile Number.
- The system will verify your PMT score from the BISP/NSER database.
- If your score is below 35, you will be marked as “Eligible for Rashan.”
2. 2026 Monthly Subsidy Details
Unlike 2025, the 2026 program provides a “Floating Subsidy” that adjusts with market inflation.
- Flour (Atta): Targeted subsidy of Rs. 100–150 per kg.
- Ghee/Oil: Discount of Rs. 100 per liter.
- Pulses & Sugar: 20% to 30% cheaper than the open market.
- Point of Sale: You can claim these discounts at any Utility Store or registered Private Karyana Store by showing the SMS received from 8123.
3. Integration with Ramzan Nigehban 2026
As we are currently in February–March 2026, the Rashan program is working alongside the CM Punjab Nigehban Package:
- Nigehban Rashan Bag: For the most vulnerable families, a free bag containing 10kg Flour, 2kg Sugar, 2kg Ghee, and 2kg Rice is being delivered directly to doorsteps.
- Nigehban Card: Eligible families are also receiving an additional Rs. 10,000 cash support to manage food expenses.
Common 2026 Eligibility Issues
- “Mobile Number Not Registered”: Ensure the SIM you use to send the SMS to 8123 is registered in your name at NADRA.
- “Record Not Found”: This means your NSER (poverty survey) is outdated. Visit the nearest BISP Tehsil Office to update your household data.
- Government Employees: Regular government employees with a salary above Rs. 60,000 are excluded from this subsidy in 2026.
Verification Tip: If you receive an SMS from any 11-digit mobile number claiming you have won “free rashan,” it is a scam. Official updates will only come from 8123, 8171, or 8070.
