The Government of Pakistan has officially launched the Prime Minister Ramzan Relief Package 2026. This year, the program has undergone a massive transformation, shifting from physical food distribution to a more dignified direct cash transfer model.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a budget of Rs. 38 Billion has been allocated to support approximately 12.1 million families across the country.

How to Check Your 9999 Ramzan Package Eligibility
The government has introduced multiple digital channels to ensure that every deserving citizen can check their status from home.
1. Via SMS (Quickest Method)
- Open your mobile’s message inbox.
- Type your 13-digit CNIC number (without dashes or spaces).
- Send it to 9999.
- You will receive an automated reply confirming whether you are “Eligible,” “Not Eligible,” or “Under Verification.”
2. Online Web Portal (pmrrp.nitb.gov.pk)
For 2026, the NITB (National Information Technology Board) has launched a dedicated portal.
- Visit pmrrp.nitb.gov.pk.
- Enter your CNIC number in the provided field.
- Check your status instantly. This portal also allows you to track the payment disbursement progress.
Eligibility Criteria for 2026
To ensure transparency and prevent corruption, eligibility is strictly verified through the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) and BISP databases.
- Income Limit: The monthly household income should generally be below Rs. 60,000.
- BISP Connection: Families already receiving the Benazir Kafalat payment are automatically prioritized.
- Employment: High-grade government employees and active high-income tax filers are excluded.
- Provincial Bonuses: In Punjab, residents can receive an additional Rs. 10,000 (Total Rs. 23,000) by sending their CNIC to 8070 under the “Nigehban Package.”
New Payment System: The “Digital Wallet” Model
In a major departure from previous years, the 2026 package does not require you to stand in long queues at Utility Stores or camps.
- Direct Cash: The Rs. 13,000 is credited directly to your BISP digital wallet, bank account, or mobile wallet (like JazzCash/Easypaisa).
- Withdrawal: Once you receive the confirmation SMS from 8171 or 9999, you can withdraw the cash from any partner bank ATM (using biometric verification) or authorized retail agents.
- Choice of Purchase: With cash in hand, families can buy flour, sugar, oil, and pulses from any shop they prefer, ensuring better quality and respect for their time.
